Dr.Pong: 4.54 Million Impressions for a Clinical Skincare Launch

Dr.Pong launched two new sunscreen formulas into one of the most crowded categories in Thai retail. Five months on MotionReach’s Bangkok taxi screens produced 4.54 million verified impressions and 1.28 million unique passengers reached in CBD and lifestyle districts. This dr pong taxi advertising campaign shows how a clinical skincare launch used dwell time in the cab.

The brief

Sunscreen is decided on trust. Dr.Pong’s proposition rests on laboratory evidence — broad protection including blue light, verified by IN VIVO and IN VITRO testing — and on a new brand presenter.

That is more information than a passing billboard can carry. The brief needed a format with enough dwell time to state a claim and substantiate it.

What we ran

  • MediaMotionReach digital screens, in-cabin
  • FleetBangkok EV taxi fleet
  • RoutesCBD and lifestyle districts
  • CreativeVideo, product-demonstration led
  • FlightJanuary – May 2026 (151 days)
  • DeliveryFull-service execution by MotionReach + Brandstorm

We concentrated delivery on CBD and lifestyle districts — the routes carrying the urban beauty and wellness audience the brand was buying against, rather than spreading impressions citywide.

The in-cabin screen let the creative do something a static site cannot: show the product, name the test standard and hold the presenter on screen long enough to register — to a seated passenger, at eye level, with nothing else to look at.

The results

4.54 million verified impressions and 1.28 million unique passengers, at 3.53× frequency across the flight.

Reaching the same 1.28 million people three-and-a-half times over five months is what makes a launch claim stick — a single exposure to a new formula name rarely survives to the shelf.

Presenter-led creative holding the screen for the length of the journey.

Dr.Pong chose taxi screen advertising because a claim-led product needs explanation, and a seated passenger has time for it. MotionReach weighted the flight to CBD and lifestyle routes within its ooh bangkok network, with every play logged like any digital out of home buy. Another health and beauty brand on the same channel is covered in our hospital advertising bangkok case study.

Why it workedClaim-led products need dwell time and repetition. Geo-weighting to CBD and lifestyle routes concentrated both against the audience most likely to buy.

Planning something similar? We will build the route, fleet and daypart plan around your objective — and report every impression at screen level.

Impression figures for digital-screen campaigns are verified at screen level from GPS and playback data. Figures for vehicle-wrap and physical installation campaigns are estimated and labelled as such — those formats produce no playback log.
